How to Join a multiplayer session.

Select Multiplayer and Connect, enter the IP or server name and your player name and click on Search.
The IP for our servers is 68.44.144.7 or use the name njhop.hopto.org

( Be sure to enter a Player Name as "Unnamed Pilot" will be rejected )

When the list appears, select the server you want and click on Join and that's all there is to it.
Select "Create a Flight", pick your plane and an airport to start at and enjoy flying with others.
Hit Enter to open the Chat window to communicate with the server and the other flyers.
In the Chat Window type ?help to get started or ?where to to see where the other players are.
You will find many other server commands that will help you use our servers.

If you only see one server, your firewall or router may be allowing you to only see one port at a time.
If you only see the first server then click on Client Settings and change the Client Port to 23457. If you then see the second server you can either configure your firewall or select servers by using the port number. 23456, 23457, 23458, 23459 or 23460.

?rules - This is Our server and you are here as a guest, You can be banned for profanity and/or annoying other Fliers.
You may free fly or follow the hops. Just fly with us and enjoy.

English is the required language for all air traffic in the world and is also required on our servers. If you wish to use another language then please select one of our servers that is not being used by English speaking Pilots.

There is one more very important requirement for FS9 (FS2004).
Your Frames Per Second must be set to 25 or less to prevent flooding the other players with to much data.
If you don't know what this is then don't worry about it as the default is 20.

This does not apply if you are using FSX as the FSX data rate is fixed at 4 times a second.

It is very important to turn OFF collisions in multiplayer. This function does not work well and you can crash when trying to fly formation or just trying to park next to another player.
The idea is to fly and enjoy all the hops in order. To keep it interesting, all hops are fairly short and some of the airports offer a challenge.
